The Role
As a Generator Operations Officer, you will serve as a critical link in our operational excellence. You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless, cost-effective, and efficient day-to-day operation of our power generation equipment, ensuring we consistently exceed our customers' expectations for reliable power.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operation of power generation systems.
- Monitor control room dashboards, system parameters, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure power output aligns with operational targets and demand.
- Proactively identify and report equipment abnormalities or operational deviations.
- Collaborate with maintenance engineers to facilitate preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, including equipment isolation and tagging.
- Maintain precise documentation, including plant logbooks, shift handover notes, and comprehensive operational reports (daily/weekly/monthly).
Requirements
- BSc/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant postgraduate degree or professional certification is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in a similar operational role.
- Strong proficiency in ERP software and relevant industrial monitoring applications.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
