Flex is changing that reality fast. As our General Manager of Construction, you will step in as the entrepreneurial leader of one of our most vital industry verticals. This is a fully remote, worldwide opportunity designed for a senior operator who wants the autonomy of running a startup paired with the balance sheet, momentum, and technical fire-power of a nine-figure revenue fintech.

Flex is architecting an AI-native private bank tailored specifically for entrepreneurs generating between 3 million and 200 million dollars in annual revenue. Since launching publicly in late 2023, our business has rocketed to nine figures in annualized revenue with backed funding exceeding 400 million dollars across equity and debt. The construction ecosystem represents a massive market hiding in plain sight. You will spearhead our expansion into this sector, setting the vertical strategy, steering localized product development, and building a financial engine that builders and contractors cannot live without.

Key Responsibilities

Your objective is to scale the construction business line from early traction into an undisputed market leader. You will focus on the following priorities.

Define and execute the overall commercial strategy for the construction vertical, taking full ownership of customer growth, unit economics, and revenue targets.
Partner directly with product, design, and engineering teams to craft tailored banking and operational tools that address industry-specific pain points like progress billing, project-level accounting, subcontractor payments, and credit access.
Develop and orchestrate multi-channel go-to-market campaigns, blending direct sales, strategic alliances, and specialized industry distribution channels.
Engage face-to-face and virtually with high-value construction founders and commercial operators, transforming their operational friction into intuitive product solutions.
Establish rigorous operating rhythms, monitoring customer retention, credit health, and vertical profitability while rapidly unblocking growth barriers.

Requirements

We are searching for a seasoned leader who combines strategic clarity with hands-on grit. Ideal qualifications include the following background.

Substantial leadership experience scaling a business unit, commercial vertical, or revenue team within fintech, vertical SaaS, or construction technology.
Deep understanding of the financial mechanics behind commercial and residential construction, including cash conversion cycles, retainage, materials purchasing, and vendor workflows.
Demonstrated capability managing P and L responsibility while exceeding aggressive growth benchmarks.
Strong executive communication skills and the presence required to win trust from traditional business owners and institutional partners alike.
A bias toward action, high intellectual curiosity, and total comfort navigating fast-moving, high-velocity environments.
