Now, we're searching for our very first technical hire on the ground in the US, a Founding Forward Deployed Engineer, who will own the entire technical journey for our US customers from day one. Overview
This is a high-impact, front-line position where engineering prowess meets customer success and product development. You will become the technical face of Clera for our US customers, working directly with their operations, tackling complex challenges, and providing crucial feedback to our core product team. We are building sophisticated AI agents for the short-haul trucking and industrial logistics space, a huge market largely dependent on manual planning and spreadsheets. This role is fully remote and open to exceptional talent from anywhere in the world, giving you the flexibility to make an impact from your ideal workspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of technical deployments for US customers, guiding them from initial onboarding through to long-term operational success.
- Seamlessly integrate Clera's AI scheduling platform with various customer systems, including existing job management tools, GPS devices, and critical operational workflows.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for US customers, expertly diagnosing issues and implementing rapid, effective solutions.
- Collaborate closely with our product and engineering teams, translating valuable customer feedback and operational insights into actionable product improvements and new features.
Requirements
- Strong background in software engineering, ideally with experience in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or similar).
- Demonstrable experience integrating complex software platforms with diverse external systems and APIs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to diagnose technical issues quickly and provide robust solutions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with customers and translating technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
- A proactive, ownership-driven mindset, comfortable working autonomously and taking initiative in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Familiarity with data analysis and the ability to work with various data formats common in logistics (e.g., CSV, JSON, database queries).
- Experience or strong interest in the logistics, supply chain, or industrial sectors is a significant plus.
