Clera is building the foundational infrastructure for AI-powered service businesses. We're an early-stage startup with a clear vision: to empower companies to leverage AI agents effectively and at scale. As our Founding Engineer, you will be instrumental in bringing this vision to life. This is a fully remote, worldwide opportunity, inviting exceptional talent from anywhere on the globe to join our pioneering team.

Key Responsibilities

Develop the core architecture and infrastructure needed to scale the product for a massive user base.
Build and maintain the agent runtime system, encompassing orchestration, memory management, verification, and supporting systems.
Lead projects from concept to deployment, spanning backend systems, infrastructure, user interfaces, and AI agent development.
Establish critical technical standards and shape our engineering practices as the team expands.
Regularly ship impactful improvements that directly benefit real businesses and their users.

Requirements

You have at least two years of experience shipping production software. Alternatively, an equivalent track record as a founder, solo builder, or an exceptional early career engineer is highly valued.
Proven experience building and operating LLM or AI agent systems in production environments, with demonstrable impact on real users.
Possess full stack capabilities, confidently navigating backend development, infrastructure design, and user interface implementation.
You've successfully taken prototypes and transformed them into dependable, production-ready systems.
