Picarro is leading the charge in environmental intelligence, providing real-time, continuous emissions monitoring for the oil, gas, and chemicals sectors. Our innovative Fenceline Monitoring Solution delivers unparalleled data, but true transformation happens when that data is understood, integrated, and acted upon. This is precisely where you, our next Forward Deployed Engineer, come in.

You will be the vital link, directly embedded with our customers during pilot programs and initial engagements. Your mission is clear: to ensure Environmental, HSSE, and Operations teams not only grasp the emissions data but actively weave it into their daily operations. You will move them from reactive, retrospective reviews to proactive, real-time decision-making, setting the gold standard for how Picarro's technology unlocks tangible value. This is a fully remote role, open to candidates worldwide, though a presence in the USA, particularly California or Texas, is preferred for proximity to key clients. Be prepared for travel, which can be up to 70% of your time, as you become an indispensable partner at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the primary technical and strategic partner at customer sites during critical pilot and early-stage deployments.
Educate and empower customer teams (Environmental, HSSE, Operations) to deeply understand and effectively utilize real-time emissions data provided by Picarro.
Guide customers in integrating Picarro Link data into their existing operational workflows, fostering a shift towards active, real-time decision-making.
Proactively identify and address customer challenges, ensuring seamless adoption and maximizing the value derived from our monitoring solutions.
Drive a measurable impact on customer operations, helping them achieve faster action on critical signals, reduce emissions, mitigate risk, and enhance overall emissions management practices.
Serve as the voice of the customer, relaying insights and feedback to Picarro's product and engineering teams to inform continuous improvement.

Requirements

Proven experience in a forward deployed, field application, or technical consulting role within the oil, gas, or chemicals industry.
A strong understanding of industrial operations, environmental regulations, and HSSE practices in relevant sectors.
Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences, from operators to senior management.
Demonstrated skill in training, onboarding, and fostering adoption of new technologies or data platforms.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the capability to manage complex customer engagements and drive successful outcomes.
Willingness and ability to travel frequently, up to 70%, to customer sites globally.
Comfortable working autonomously in a remote setting while maintaining strong internal and external communication.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related technical field is preferred.
