The Role: Fleet Tyre Officer

As a Fleet Tyre Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing the life cycle of one of our fleet’s most critical assets: tyres. Your primary focus will be to maximize fleet safety, minimize operational costs through meticulous inspection and maintenance, and ensure complete regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Routine Inspections & Corrections: Conduct daily tyre pressure checks, corrections, and comprehensive inspections across all vehicles to identify and rectify potential hazards before they escalate.
Data-Driven Reporting: Prepare and maintain precise daily, weekly, and monthly reports detailing tyre fitment, removals, swaps, and replacements.
Damage Analysis & Quality Control: Perform thorough root-cause analysis on damaged tyres to prevent future occurrences and optimize tyre lifespan.
Maintenance & Restoration: Proactively identify tyres suitable for regrooving and retreading. Supervise repair processes to ensure they meet the highest safety standards.
Inventory & Brand Performance: Monitor and analyze the performance of various tyre brands and tread patterns. Maintain accurate records of all inventory, including new, regrooved, and retreaded tyres.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all fleet tyres adhere strictly to legal specifications and company safety guidelines.

Qualifications and Requirements

We are looking for a proactive professional who meets the following criteria:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Logistics & Transportation Management, or a related field.
Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in tyre maintenance, fleet management, or overall vehicle maintenance operations.
Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of different tyre types, brands, tread patterns, and technical specifications.
Analytical Skills: Proven ability to diagnose tyre wear patterns, troubleshoot issues, and implement cost-effective solutions.
Systems Knowledge: Basic familiarity with fleet management software and inventory control procedures.
