  • Thoroughly verifying insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage details for scheduled patient services.
  • Proactively obtaining necessary pre-authorizations or certifications from insurance providers to prevent claim denials.
  • Accurately calculating and communicating estimated patient financial responsibilities, including deductibles, co-payments, and co-insurance.
  • Collaborating closely with patients, providers, and insurance companies to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to financial clearance.
  • Maintaining meticulous documentation of all interactions, verifications, and authorizations within designated systems.
  • Adhering strictly to all compliance regulations and company policies regarding patient privacy and financial processes.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial clearance operations.

Requirements: What You Bring to the Table

We are seeking a dedicated professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for supporting patient access to care. Ideal candidates will possess:

  • At least two years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, patient access, financial counseling, or a similar role focused on financial clearance.
  • A solid understanding of medical insurance verification processes, benefit structures, and pre-authorization requirements.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, allowing for clear and empathetic interactions with patients and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex insurance scenarios.
  • Proficiency in using healthcare information systems and patient access software.
  • The ability to work independently and manage a diverse workload effectively in a remote work environment.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or a related field is a plus.
