The Finance team at Smartsheet masterfully connects our operational and business strategies, actively shaping both our near term and long term financial performance. This particular role is within our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) group, and we are excited to find a highly motivated and analytical Financial Analyst for our Go to Market (GTM) function. While this is a fully remote, worldwide opportunity, we would prefer candidates who can align with Western US time zones to best collaborate with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models, forecasts, and budgets for Smartsheet's Go to Market organizations, including Sales and Marketing.
Conduct in-depth financial analysis of GTM performance, identifying trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
Partner closely with GTM leadership to provide strategic financial guidance, supporting decision making on investments, resource allocation, and operational efficiency.
Prepare compelling financial reports and presentations for executive leadership, offering clear insights into performance drivers and future outlook.
Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes and tools, enhancing forecasting accuracy and analytical capabilities.
Support the annual strategic planning cycle and ongoing operational reviews, ensuring alignment between financial goals and business initiatives.
Analyze sales productivity, marketing ROI, customer acquisition costs, and other key GTM metrics to inform business strategy.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
At least 3 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, with a strong preference for experience supporting Go to Market functions within a SaaS or technology company.
Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with financial planning software (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive Planning) and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
Exceptional analytical skills, capable of translating complex data into actionable insights and clear recommendations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing effective collaboration with cross functional teams and presentation of findings to senior leadership.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Comfortable working remotely and collaborating effectively with a distributed team across various time zones.
