The Role
As our Field / Instrumentation Technician, you will play a pivotal role in our Calibration, Inspection & Certification, and Fuel Equipment Maintenance divisions. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and efficiency of fuel storage facilities and instrumentation systems, maintaining rigorous compliance with industry standards and Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform precise calibration of underground, surface, and above-ground storage tanks.
- Calibrate critical process instruments, including flow meters, transmitters, and gauges.
- Conduct essential pressure testing and leak detection on pipelines and vessels.
- Manage the inspection and certification of fuel storage equipment.
- Execute tank cleaning and decontamination operations while adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation systems.
- Maintain detailed documentation, including calibration, inspection, and testing reports.
Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate possesses strong technical proficiency and a commitment to field safety. You should be adept at reading P&IDs and engineering drawings, with a proven ability to troubleshoot complex instrumentation systems. Whether working independently or as part of a team, you will be expected to uphold our high standards of service in various field locations.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Demonstrable experience in fuel storage system maintenance and instrumentation calibration.
- Proficiency in tank inspection, leak detection, and pressure testing.
- Strong technical reporting skills and the ability to interpret engineering schematics.
- Relevant certifications, such as HSE Level 1, 2 & 3, Confined Space Entry, Working at Height, and First Aid are highly preferred.
- Professional memberships or specialized training in instrumentation/calibration will be considered a significant advantage.
