We are currently partnering with a distinguished client seeking a highly proactive and detail-oriented Factory Officer. This pivotal role is based in Zaria, Kaduna State, and offers an exciting opportunity to coordinate and supervise daily factory operations, ensuring production activities are executed efficiently, safely, and in strict adherence to established quality standards.
The Opportunity: Factory Officer
As a Factory Officer, you will be at the heart of our client's manufacturing process, playing a crucial role in overseeing production from start to finish. Your leadership and meticulous attention to detail will be instrumental in achieving production targets, maintaining operational excellence, and upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise daily factory operations to ensure production targets are consistently achieved.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure the timely and efficient execution of manufacturing activities.
- Supervise production personnel, effectively allocating tasks to maximize productivity and overall efficiency.
- Ensure machines and equipment are utilized effectively, promptly reporting any operational issues that require maintenance.
- Enforce strict compliance with company operational procedures, quality standards, and all health and safety regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections of production processes, equipment, and work areas to guarantee continuous operational efficiency.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly production reports, highlighting output, downtime, and overall operational performance.
- Monitor raw material usage and coordinate seamlessly with the warehouse team to ensure adequate and uninterrupted production supplies.
What We're Looking For:
To thrive in this role, you will bring a blend of strong academic background and practical experience:
- Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, Agricultural Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 2–4 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing, processing, or factory operations environment.
- Technical Acumen: A strong understanding of production planning, manufacturing processes, and general factory operations.
- Safety & Quality: Knowledge of workplace health, safety, and quality management practices is essential.
- Software Proficiency: Competence in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word, for reporting and data management.
