Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal, fully remote role, you will be instrumental in several key areas:

Develop and execute comprehensive executive search strategies, specifically targeting senior technology leadership across diverse domains.
Proactively source, engage, and evaluate top-tier executive candidates through a variety of channels, including direct outreach and strategic networking.
Serve as a trusted advisor to Canonical's hiring executives, deeply understanding their strategic talent needs and organizational goals.
Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for executive positions, from initial candidate engagement to offer negotiation and onboarding support.
Build and maintain robust talent pipelines, cultivating long-term relationships with potential future leaders for critical technology roles.
Provide insightful market intelligence and competitive analysis to inform our executive talent acquisition strategies.
Collaborate closely with our Talent Science team, leveraging data-driven insights to refine and enhance our executive search methodologies.

Requirements

To succeed as our Executive Search Lead, we are looking for a professional with a distinctive blend of skills and experience:

Significant proven experience in executive search, ideally within a high-growth technology environment or a specialized executive search firm focused on tech.
A deep and current understanding of the technology landscape, particularly in areas like open source, cloud computing, AI, machine learning, data science, and IoT.
Demonstrated success in identifying, engaging, and placing senior-level technology executives globally.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, capable of influencing and building rapport with senior stakeholders and candidates.
A strategic mindset, with the ability to translate business objectives into effective talent acquisition plans.
Comfort and proficiency working within a fully remote, globally distributed team environment.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex search assignments simultaneously.
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience is expected.
