Overview

As an ERS-NETA Electrical Training Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering comprehensive technical training programs. Your focus will be on the safe operation, maintenance, and NETA based testing of electrical power system equipment. You will create essential course materials, including detailed manuals, effective training aids, thorough instructor outlines, and compelling audio/visual presentations. This role involves educating both Vertiv's ERS and HVM field service associates, as well as external client personnel, on best practices and electrical safe work practices, ensuring high standards of technical proficiency and safety across the board.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to the creation and rollout of new, impactful training programs.
Craft engaging course outlines, detailed text, practical handouts, effective tests, and hands-on laboratory exercises.
Offer support and guidance to fellow instructors, ensuring consistent quality across all training sessions.
Conduct both written and practical exams, providing thorough performance reports.
Deliver internal training for ERS and HVM field service associates on the safe operation and NETA based testing and maintenance of electrical power system equipment.
Provide external training to ERS and HVM client personnel, covering the operation of electrical power system equipment and critical electrical safe work practices.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering technical training programs, especially within electrical power systems.
Strong foundational knowledge of NETA (International Electrical Testing Association) standards and testing procedures.
Expertise in the safe operation, maintenance, and testing of diverse electrical power system equipment.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
Proven ability to develop comprehensive and engaging training materials, including manuals, aids, and presentations.
A commitment to electrical safety practices and a strong desire to instill this knowledge in others.
Ability to work independently in a fully remote, global environment.
