We are hunting for a stellar former engineer who has a track record of building incredible products and now channels that superpower into growing and mentoring phenomenal engineering teams. Ashby is doubling our engineering headcount over the next year, meaning we need your seasoned leadership to scale thoughtfully while keeping our unique culture intact. Our product is already replacing multiple venture-backed tools with a vastly superior experience, backed by industry giants like Notion, Linear, Shopify, and Snowflake. Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and grow a talented team of remote engineers while fostering an environment of high agency and autonomy.
Drive engineering execution by helping translate ambitious product goals into reality without traditional corporate bureaucracy.

Requirements

Deep background in software engineering with hands-on experience building complex, high-performing products.
Proven track record in an engineering management role, successfully leading and scaling technical teams.
Alignment with our philosophy of giving engineers the freedom and trust to make high-impact product decisions.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
