Overview

As the Engineering Manager of the Ads Advanced Signals Team at Reddit, you will lead a critical function responsible for the APIs, integrations, and tooling that power both inbound and outbound signals for Reddit Ads. Your primary mission involves scaling and evolving this off-platform signals ecosystem, ensuring it delivers high-quality data products that enable advertisers and partners to effectively measure and optimize their performance. You will guide technical vision, directly impacting Reddit's ability to provide superior advertising solutions and empower its business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Drive the technical vision and strategy for Reddit’s off-platform signals ecosystem, encompassing APIs, integrations, and essential tooling.
Lead and mentor a team of talented software engineers, fostering an environment of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Oversee the development and scaling of systems for collecting high-quality inbound signals, critical for ad targeting and relevance.
Champion the creation and delivery of robust outbound data products, empowering advertisers and partners to measure and optimize campaign performance effectively.
Collaborate closely with product, data science, and other engineering teams to align on goals and deliver integrated solutions.
Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of signal processing systems, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
Contribute to the broader engineering strategy for Reddit Ads, identifying opportunities for innovation and growth.

Requirements

Extensive experience as a software engineer, with a proven track record of designing, building, and scaling complex distributed systems.
Demonstrated experience leading and managing high-performing engineering teams.
Deep understanding of advertising technologies, including ad serving, measurement, attribution, and data privacy principles.
Proficiency in designing and implementing APIs and data integrations at scale.
Experience with large-scale data processing technologies and pipelines.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for tackling challenging technical and business problems.
Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and influencing strategic decisions.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
