About Menlo

We are Menlo Research, an Applied R&D lab working on Asimov. That is our open-source humanoid robot platform, along with the complete software stack that powers it. Our mission is simple and ambitious. We want to make humanoid labor economically viable, successfully turning code into physical labor at scale. We build across the entire stack. This means hardware architecture, locomotion, autonomy, simulation, and infrastructure. We move fast, ship directly to real robots, and open-source everything we can. The Role

Imagine having complete creative and operational freedom to build a brand from scratch. That is what awaits you as our very first E-commerce Lead. Menlo builds out in the open, and our growing community of developers, builders, and robotics fans wants to wear the vision, carry the gear, and feel part of the journey. Other robotics pioneers have shown how an incredible store transforms a brand into a physical movement. We plan to build something even better, and we need one driven person to own the entire operation from zero to one. This is a fully remote, worldwide opportunity.

Overview

This is a founding, full-stack commerce role. You will select the platform, build the storefront, source the products, set up fulfillment, run high-impact launches, and fully own the P&L. You will start with developer merch and community items, shaping how the world interacts with the physical side of robotics.

Key Responsibilities

Own the e-commerce strategy from the ground up, scaling our storefront as the community grows.
Select the ideal commerce platform and build a seamless, beautiful storefront.
Source high-quality products that resonate with developers, tech enthusiasts, and robotics fans.
Establish reliable global fulfillment and logistics operations.
Plan and execute exciting product drops and community-focused launches.
Monitor analytics, track performance metrics, and continuously optimize the user experience.

Requirements

Proven experience building and scaling e-commerce stores from scratch.
A strong design aesthetic and a deep understanding of what developer and tech communities love.
Hands-on experience with platform selection, supply chain management, and fulfillment setups.
An independent, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to wear many hats.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, open-source-driven startup environment.
