About the Role

As a Drip Irrigation Officer, you will play a critical role in the design, installation, and maintenance of our irrigation infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring that our water distribution systems are optimized for performance, requiring a deep understanding of hydraulics and modern agricultural technology. You will serve as the bridge between technical design and field execution, ensuring that our irrigation projects meet the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

Interpret and implement conceptual designs for drip irrigation systems.
Oversee the full installation lifecycle, ensuring technical precision and timely delivery.
Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting to resolve irrigation issues and ensure optimal water usage.
Conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure the sustainable operation of systems.
Maintain clear, effective communication across all levels, from field farmers to senior management.
Generate and present detailed performance reports, progress metrics, and project status updates.

Requirements

Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Hydraulic, or Agricultural Engineering, or related fields such as Geology, Geography, or Soil Science.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in drip irrigation or a directly related field.
Technical Skills: Proven familiarity with the various components of drip irrigation systems.
Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and project management capabilities, including conflict resolution, negotiation, and empathy. You must possess the integrity and discretion required to represent the Dangote brand effectively.
