The Role: Driller

As a Driller, you will be at the forefront of quarry mining activities, responsible for operating and maintaining advanced drilling equipment. Your expertise will be crucial in executing drilling operations with precision, directly impacting blasting efficiency and overall quarry production. Key Responsibilities Will Include:

Operating and meticulously maintaining drilling machines to perform drilling activities in strict adherence to production plans.
Executing drilling operations with accuracy to meet specified blasting and quarry production requirements.
Conducting routine inspections and performing basic preventive maintenance on drilling equipment, promptly reporting any faults or malfunctions.
Ensuring strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies throughout every drilling operation.
Monitoring drilling performance, maintaining accurate and detailed drilling records, and providing daily reports on production activities.
Collaborating effectively with blasting and quarry operations teams to guarantee efficient and safe extraction processes.
Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area, ensuring all equipment is handled responsibly and efficiently.

Who We Are Looking For:

To succeed in this role, you should possess a robust background and a proven track record in drilling operations:

A minimum of 3–5 years' experience operating drilling machines within a quarry or mining environment is essential.
Hold an SSCE, OND, Trade Test Certificate, or an equivalent qualification.
Demonstrated experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, or rotary drilling equipment.
A solid understanding of quarry drilling techniques and stringent safety procedures.
The ability to effectively identify and report equipment faults and perform basic preventive maintenance tasks.
Physical fitness and the capability to thrive in demanding outdoor working environments.
Strong teamwork, effective communication, and adept problem-solving skills.
