Overview
Synergie Medication Collective stands at the forefront of a movement to transform medication contracting. As a new organization established by a consortium of Blue Cross and Blue Shield affiliated companies, alongside select independent health plans, our mission is clear: to enhance affordability and access to costly medical benefit drugs, particularly those administered by healthcare professionals in clinical environments. This Director role serves as a crucial link between Synergie Participants and our internal strategies. You will be instrumental in managing clinical policies to align with manufacturer contracts, spearheading Trade strategies and initiatives, and providing essential support to Synergie’s Client Relations team for all Trade related inquiries. Your work will encompass medical and pharmacy drug policies, cross benefit management, and ensuring rebate qualification for manufacturer contracts. This is a fully remote opportunity, open to exceptional talent worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary Trade point of contact for Synergie’s Participant facing activities, fostering strong, collaborative relationships.
- Manage and oversee clinical policies, ensuring strict compliance with all manufacturer contracts and Synergie’s strategic objectives.
- Lead the implementation of Trade strategies and initiatives, driving their successful execution across the collective.
- Collaborate closely with and provide expert support to Synergie’s Client Relations team on all Trade related inquiries, including complex policy interpretations.
- Establish and cultivate robust cross functional partnerships with internal teams to identify, develop, and successfully execute Synergie’s vital rebate programs.
- Support clinical decision making at the Participant level to ensure adherence to contractual requirements and optimal patient outcomes.
- Oversee comprehensive management of medical and pharmacy drug policies, including cross benefit coordination and rebate qualification processes.
- Contribute strategic insights to the development and evolution of Synergie’s contracting models and overall market approach.
Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership experience in trade relations, pharmaceutical contracting, or a related field within the healthcare industry.
- Profound understanding of medical and pharmacy benefit drug policies, manufacturer contracts, and rebate programs.
- Proven ability to manage complex client relationships and represent an organization with professionalism and strategic acumen.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building consensus and driving collaboration across diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working with health plans, PBMs, or pharmaceutical manufacturers is highly desirable.
- A track record of success in cross functional project leadership and program execution.
- Self motivated, results oriented, and capable of thriving in a dynamic, startup like environment within a large organizational framework.
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, global team setting.
