Overview

Reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer, the Director of Security Engineering holds a critical leadership position within our Information Security Group. You will take charge of a fully remote position based in Spain while collaborating on a global scale. This role carries a specific mandate to fortify Auctane's global engineering and operational capabilities by leading and overseeing multiple high-impact security programs across diverse teams.

Key Responsibilities

Direct and mentor high-performing security engineering and operations teams across multiple regions.
Design, implement, and scale robust security programs that protect global shipping and mailing platforms handling massive transaction volumes.
Partner closely with software engineering and product development groups to embed security seamlessly into the software development lifecycle.
Drive risk management strategies and oversee proactive threat detection and mitigation efforts.
Align security initiatives with broader business objectives while maintaining compliance with international standards.

Requirements

Extensive experience in leading security engineering and operations teams within fast-paced global tech environments.
Deep technical expertise in cloud security, application security, infrastructure hardening, and threat mitigation.
Proven track record of scaling security programs in high-growth companies handling heavy transaction volumes.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to thrive in a fully remote work environment while managing geographically dispersed teams.
