At the Constructive Dialogue Institute, we are tackling one of the most pressing cultural challenges of our time by teaching people how to bridge deep divides. Co-founded by renowned social psychologist Jonathan Haidt, our non-profit is scaling at a breathtaking pace. We recently doubled our headcount and expect to grow even further soon. We need a seasoned Director of People Operations to guide this growth, protect our vibrant culture, and build the HR infrastructure that will support our team as we expand globally. This is a fully remote role open to candidates worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, scale, and optimize human resources systems, policies, and operations to support a rapidly expanding remote team.
- Partner with leadership to drive talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, and employee retention strategies.
- Cultivate an inclusive, collaborative, and mission-driven workplace culture across international time zones.
- Manage compliance, benefits, payroll coordination, and employee relations with a high degree of empathy and operational excellence.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and staff on organizational development and team health.
Requirements
- Extensive HR generalist experience with a proven track record of scaling people operations in fast-growing organizations.
- Deep understanding of remote work dynamics and global employment best practices.
- Exceptional emotional intelligence, communication skills, and a genuine passion for constructive dialogue and depolarization.
- Ability to balance strategic long-term planning with hands-on administrative execution in a fast-paced environment.
