Overview

Apryse is searching for a dynamic Director, License Assurance to architect and lead our worldwide license audit function. This pivotal role reports directly to the Vice President of License Management. You will spearhead the transformation of our approach, shifting from reactive audits to a sophisticated, data driven compliance program. We envision a scalable model that systematically covers our existing customer base, delivering tangible business outcomes and strengthening our operational integrity. Key Responsibilities

Lead Apryse's global license audit function, guiding its evolution into a proactive, cross product compliance program.
Manage the dedicated team, refine our operating model, optimize audit processes, define system requirements, and ensure performance accountability.
Establish a highly scalable, data driven program designed to systematically cover our eligible existing customer base and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Oversee thorough reviews of customer software usage, ensuring alignment with contractual entitlements. This includes licensed volume commitments, permitted use cases, deployment and redistribution rights, royalty obligations, and reporting requirements.
Document all findings meticulously and coordinate closely with appropriate internal stakeholders to resolve any identified licensing gaps efficiently.
Collaborate extensively with key departments such as Sales, Customer Success, Sales Operations, Business Systems, Finance, Legal, Product, and our data teams to develop clear, robust processes, establish reliable systems and reporting mechanisms, and ensure effective handoffs.
Leverage our core systems, including Salesforce and Apryse's AI environment, as reliable records for all audit activities.

Requirements

Demonstrated leadership experience in software license compliance, audit, or assurance functions, preferably within a global enterprise.
A proven track record of developing, implementing, and scaling complex compliance or audit programs.
Deep expertise in software licensing models, contractual terms, and entitlement management.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and contractual language.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities, capable of collaborating effectively with diverse internal and external teams.
Proficiency with CRM systems like Salesforce and a comfort level working with data rich environments and business intelligence tools.
Strategic thinker with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to operational excellence.
