Life360 is redefining how families stay connected and safe. With a massive and growing user base across the globe, our mission is clear: keep people close to the ones they love. We achieve this through our leading mobile app, Tile tracking devices, and Pet GPS solutions, offering features like location sharing, safe driver reports, and crash detection. As a fully remote-first company with over 500 team members, we are looking for a Director of IT to lead our internal technology strategy, operations, and support. This vital role ensures our employees worldwide have access to secure, efficient, and user-friendly IT systems, directly enabling our mission to deliver peace of mind to millions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and operational excellence.
Define and execute the overall IT strategy, aligning with Life360's business objectives and remote-first operating model.
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of critical IT infrastructure, including network, server, and cloud environments.
Ensure the security and compliance of all internal IT systems, implementing best practices for data protection and risk management.
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for IT hardware, software, and services to optimize value and performance.
Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and transparent reporting.
Champion IT support initiatives, striving for exceptional service delivery and prompt resolution of technical issues for all employees.
Evaluate and introduce new technologies that enhance productivity, collaboration, and security across the organization.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for IT operations, driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

Extensive experience in IT leadership roles, with a proven track record of managing complex IT environments in a fast-paced, global setting.
Strong expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), network architecture, and cybersecurity best practices.
Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and inspire diverse IT teams, including remote team members.
Experience with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks and tools, emphasizing efficiency and user satisfaction.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
A strategic mindset with the ability to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience managing IT budgets and vendor relationships.
