Overview

We are looking for a strategic and execution-oriented Director of Internal AI Operations to run and continuously improve how our company adopts and scales artificial intelligence. This is a fully remote, worldwide opportunity that lets you shape the future of tech from anywhere on the planet. You will establish the operational objectives, processes, and work plans that turn AI from a scattered collection of tools into a measurable business capability, partnering with leaders across several functions to put our AI direction into practice.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting: Build and maintain crystal-clear visibility into AI spend and usage. Develop adoption, efficiency, and cost metrics while reporting on tool overlap, cost drivers, and open risks. You will support Finance with forecasting, budget tracking, anomaly detection, and vendor and model-cost optimization.
Portfolio Management: Maintain a living inventory of AI tools, initiatives, agents, vendors, integrations, owners, status, spend, risks, and dependencies. You will set the processes and standards that keep this inventory accurate across all teams.
Reviews: Participate in reviewing new AI vendor requests, ensuring alignment with security, compliance, and financial goals.

Requirements

We want someone who brings a blend of financial acumen, technical curiosity, and operational grit. You should have a proven track record of managing complex technical portfolios, working closely with finance and engineering teams, and turning high-level AI strategies into concrete daily workflows. Strong communication skills are a must since you will collaborate with stakeholders at every level of the organization.
