Role Overview and Key Responsibilities
The Deputy General Manager will oversee the full spectrum of maintenance activities within the Mix Storage department. You will be expected to:
- Lead and manage maintenance teams to ensure high performance and equipment reliability.
- Develop and execute comprehensive maintenance strategies, including preventive, predictive, and shutdown planning.
- Optimize manpower and resources to ensure cost-efficiency and operational continuity.
- Oversee spare parts inventory and material management to prevent downtime.
- Collaborate across departments to align maintenance efforts with overall plant production goals.
- Foster a culture of safety, ensuring strict compliance with all environmental and occupational health regulations.
- Maintain rigorous documentation and KPI reporting to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements for Success
To be considered for this high-level leadership position, candidates must possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- A minimum of twenty (20) years of extensive experience in cement plant operations, with specific expertise in mechanical mix-storage maintenance.
- Advanced knowledge of preventive maintenance methodologies and industrial safety standards.
- Strong leadership capabilities with proven success in managing large technical teams.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office suites.
