About the Role: Deck Engineer
As a Deck Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency, safety, and maintenance of our vessels. This position demands a keen eye for detail, robust technical expertise, and a proactive approach to problem-solving within the demanding offshore and marine environment. You will be responsible for a range of essential duties, contributing directly to the seamless execution of our diverse projects and upholding Red Offshore's reputation for operational excellence.
Key Requirements for Success:
To thrive in this critical role, candidates must possess the following:
- Relevant Offshore and Marine Industry Experience: A proven track record and hands-on experience in offshore operations and the broader marine sector are essential. We are looking for professionals who understand the unique challenges and demands of working at sea.
- Valid STCW Certification (Mandatory): Compliance with the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) is a non-negotiable requirement. This ensures you meet the global standards for competence in the maritime industry.
- Valid BOSIET and HUET Certification (Preferred): While not strictly mandatory, possessing current Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) and Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) certifications will be a significant advantage. These demonstrate your preparedness for emergency situations in an offshore environment.
