Overview
As part of the Music Mission, you will sit right inside the ML squad powering Discovery Mode. This innovative tool lets artists and labels highlight priority tracks so our recommendation engines can introduce them to eager new listeners. You will own the measurement systems behind this feature, diving deep into complex datasets to evaluate model performance and drive product evolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute rigorous experiments to test, validate, and improve machine learning models.
- Partner with product managers and ML engineers to translate ambiguous business questions into clear analytical frameworks.
- Build comprehensive measurement systems that track the real world impact of Discovery Mode for artists and labels.
- Communicate complex data insights effectively to technical and nontechnical stakeholders alike.
Requirements
- Proven professional experience in data science, quantitative research, or a similar analytical role.
- Strong proficiency in Python or R for statistical modeling, data manipulation, and experimentation.
- Solid background in experiment design, A/B testing, and causal inference.
- Curiosity about the music industry and a passion for helping creators succeed on Spotify.
