Imagine a world where every healthcare provider has immediate access to reliable, complete patient data, empowering them to make the best decisions at every turn. That's the vision driving us at Clover Health. We're building an AI powered platform that delivers critical clinical insights right into clinicians' workflows, helping care teams achieve better outcomes. As we rapidly expand our data reach across complex healthcare networks, the integrity and completeness of that clinical data become absolutely paramount. We're looking for a sharp, dedicated Data Analyst to join our team and ensure the foundational data our platform relies on is nothing short of exceptional.
Overview
As our Data Analyst, Clinical Data Effectiveness, you will become the ultimate expert on clinical data quality and completeness here at Clover Health. You'll sit within our Data Products team, taking full ownership of the entire journey our clinical data takes. This means understanding exactly where our data originates, identifying any points where it might break down, and thoroughly evaluating how each data vendor and integration pathway performs across our diverse customer markets. Your work will directly influence our strategic decisions regarding data vendors, facility targeting, and crucial investments in our data pipelines, all to guarantee that the clinical evidence powering our care teams is consistently available and trustworthy.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping our data strategy. Here are some of the responsibilities you can expect:
- Serve as the go-to Subject Matter Expert for clinical data completeness and effectiveness across Clover Health's entire platform.
- Rigorously analyze and document the end-to-end clinical data lifecycle, from ingestion to application, pinpointing areas for improvement.
- Develop robust methodologies for monitoring data quality, reliability, and completeness from various sources, including legacy interoperability networks, QHIN/TEFCA connectivity, and direct HIE integrations.
- Conduct deep dive investigations into data discrepancies, identifying root causes and recommending actionable solutions to improve data integrity.
- Evaluate the performance of different data vendors and integration pathways, providing data driven insights that inform partnership strategies.
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and clinical teams to translate data insights into tangible product enhancements and operational improvements.
- Present clear, concise, and compelling analytical findings to stakeholders, influencing strategic decisions related to data investments and operational priorities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our data ecosystem, helping us expand and refine our capabilities to support value-based care and proactive disease management.
Requirements
We're looking for someone with a strong analytical mind and a passion for healthcare data. Ideal candidates will bring:
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst, with a significant focus on clinical or healthcare data.
- Demonstrated expertise in understanding complex data flows and identifying data quality issues.
- Proficiency with SQL for data querying and analysis; experience with other data manipulation tools or languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
- Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards and concepts (e.g., HL7, FHIR, HIEs, TEFCA) is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem solving skills, with an ability to dig into complex issues and propose practical solutions.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting technical information to non-technical audiences.
- A self motivated and proactive approach, comfortable working independently in a fast paced environment.
- A genuine commitment to improving patient outcomes through effective data utilization.
