Overview

In this role, you will work alongside an established cybersecurity consulting firm dedicated to raising the standard of digital hygiene. Your focus will be guiding diverse clients through both Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus accreditations. Instead of treating assurance like a rubber stamp exercise, you will examine technical setups, pinpoint security gaps, and offer realistic guidance that empowers clients to protect their operations.

Key Responsibilities

Your day to day work will center around several vital tasks

Perform comprehensive Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus assessments across diverse corporate networks.
Liaise directly with client stakeholders to scope out projects, set schedules, and manage assessment expectations.
Review submitted technical documentation and system evidence to confirm alignment with IASME requirements.
Identify potential vulnerabilities, spot non-compliance issues, and explain clear remediation paths to client teams.
Draft accurate audit reports and document findings promptly to facilitate smooth certification turnarounds.

Requirements

You will be well prepared for this position if you bring the following background

Official accreditation as a Cyber Essentials Assessor or direct background performing audits under the IASME framework.
Solid knowledge of core technical controls including network boundaries, malware protection, patch schedules, access management, and secure configuration.
Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools and verification techniques used in Cyber Essentials Plus testing.
Great interpersonal skills and the ability to articulate compliance topics clearly to both technical and non-technical staff.
The drive and organization needed to deliver consistent results in an independent, distributed setting.
