Overview

As a Customer Service Advisor with our Out of Hours service, you serve as the vital first point of contact for residents, emergency services, contractors, and local authority partners. This fully remote, worldwide opportunity involves handling urgent inquiries that require immediate attention when normal offices are closed. You will work twenty five hours per week on a scheduled basis, bringing stability and reassurance to callers whenever they need it most.

Key Responsibilities

Answer urgent and emergency calls from the public, local authorities, and partner agencies outside of normal business hours.
Assess the nature and urgency of each situation quickly and accurately.
Follow established scripts and procedures to gather and record precise information.
Escalate and refer cases smoothly to the correct duty officer, emergency contact, or contractor.
Provide compassionate support to callers who might be vulnerable, distressed, or facing urgent issues.

Requirements

Strong communication skills with a natural ability to remain calm under pressure.
Experience in customer service, call handling, or an emergency response environment.
Ability to make sound, quick decisions while following specific protocols.
High level of empathy and patience when dealing with distressed individuals.
