Overview
This is a national remote position, offering you the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the United States. Optum Insight is at the forefront of improving health data flow and information, striving to create a truly connected system. We work diligently to remove friction and drive alignment between care providers, payers, and ultimately, the consumers they serve. Our deep industry expertise combined with innovative technology allows us to help organizations reduce costs while simultaneously improving risk management, quality, and revenue growth. This is a full-time role, requiring 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Employees need to be flexible to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00 am to 5:30 pm Central Standard Time. Occasional overtime may be necessary, depending on business needs. We offer comprehensive on-the-job training, with training hours aligning perfectly with your regular schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer between 60 to 90 incoming phone calls daily, accurately identifying the type of assistance required for each caller.
- Engage actively by asking appropriate questions and listening intently to pinpoint specific questions, concerns, or needs.
- Provide clear, concise, and accurate information regarding healthcare processes, benefits, or services.
- Document all interactions meticulously in our systems, ensuring comprehensive and up-to-date records.
- Collaborate with team members and various departments to resolve complex inquiries and ensure seamless customer experiences.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and compliance.
Requirements
- Ability to work effectively from a home office located anywhere within the United States.
- Demonstrated flexibility to work an 8-hour shift within the 7:00 am to 5:30 pm CST window, Monday through Friday.
- Exceptional verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex information clearly and empathetically.
- Strong active listening skills and a natural curiosity to understand caller needs fully.
- A genuine passion for helping people and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and quickly learn new software applications.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
