Overview

SOLV Energy stands at the forefront of the power industry, delivering essential infrastructure services. We specialize in designing, constructing, and maintaining large scale solar, advanced battery storage, and high voltage substation projects nationwide. This particular Construction Engineer I role is designed for someone passionate about contributing to these critical operations. You will support four key construction engineering functions within our EPC operations. These include ensuring engineering coordination, technical communication, and rigorous documentation across various project stages. This position begins as a contingent role, with a strong potential to transition into a permanent position within SOLV Energy. Best of all, this is a fully remote opportunity, open to candidates located anywhere in the world.

Key Responsibilities

Warranty Analysis: Actively gather crucial project data and provide essential support for engineering reviews of potential design or installation issues. Your contributions help ensure quality and resolve challenges efficiently.
Emerging Technologies Implementation: Assist our teams in deploying cutting edge construction tools. This includes supporting GPS enabled pile driving systems, drone based survey workflows, and other innovative technologies that enhance project efficiency.
Construction Engineering Support During Operations: Coordinate critical Requests for Information (RFIs), manage design updates, and facilitate field engineering clarifications. You will be a vital link between design and on site execution.
Pile Load Testing Support During Initial Design: Play a hands on role in pre construction pile testing programs. This involves assisting with planning, scheduling, meticulous documentation, and crucial engineering communication to inform initial project designs.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
A strong foundational understanding of construction principles and engineering practices.
Demonstrated ability in technical communication, both written and verbal, for various stakeholders.
Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail, particularly in documentation and data gathering.
Proficiency with standard office software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
A strong interest in renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure development.
Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment, managing tasks and collaborating with distributed teams.
