In this pivotal role, you will serve as the Project Manager for a large, complex project, or potentially a portfolio of projects, specifically impacting common, standard, or migration systems for our esteemed client, the Defense Logistics Agency. This position offers the unique chance to work fully remotely, collaborating with a diverse team and making a tangible difference from any location worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

Lead as the primary Project Manager for extensive and intricate projects, or groups of projects, specifically those influencing shared or evolving systems.
Collaborate closely with the Government Contracting Officer (KO), Project Leads, government management personnel, and various customer agency representatives.
Assume comprehensive responsibility for managing all contractor support tasks outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS), ensuring meticulous planning, organizing, staffing, directing, integrating, and controlling activities to meet rigorous schedule and performance requirements.
Oversee all daily operational aspects, including administrative functions, proactive risk assessment, identification of assumptions, and skilled resolution of interpersonal conflicts.
Diligently monitor project performance, focusing on robust risk management strategies and mitigation.
Champion the implementation of industry best practices for project execution, specifically those aligned with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) model.

Requirements

We're looking for an experienced professional with a proven track record in project management, especially within government contracting environments. Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

Significant experience managing large, complex projects, preferably within the defense or government sector.
A solid understanding of government contracting processes and working relationships with agencies like the Defense Logistics Agency.
Proficiency in applying Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) principles and best practices to project execution.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders, including government officials and project teams.
Demonstrated ability in risk assessment, mitigation, and conflict resolution within a project context.
Strong organizational and administrative capabilities, managing day-to-day operations seamlessly.
