As a Compliance Analyst specializing in Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), you will be instrumental in safeguarding our platform against financial crime. This is a 12-month contract role where your analytical skills and regulatory knowledge will directly contribute to maintaining our robust compliance framework and ensuring a secure environment for our vast user base.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews for high-risk customers, ensuring meticulous scrutiny of complex profiles.
Analyze intricate transaction patterns for high-risk accounts, verifying alignment with stated business activities and risk profiles.
Perform comprehensive risk assessments for both new customer onboarding and existing relationships, identifying potential vulnerabilities.
Drive and contribute to key projects focused on enhancing our EDD frameworks, policies, and operational processes.
Maintain a deep understanding of evolving global EDD standards, including FATF recommendations, alongside specific local regulatory requirements across our diverse operational regions.
Serve as a trusted subject matter expert on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Financing of Terrorism (CFT) practices for internal stakeholders.
Effectively manage and resolve high-risk customer escalations originating from first-line defense teams and other business units, providing expert guidance.
Prepare and refine critical compliance documentation, including clear and concise policies, procedures, and comprehensive reports.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field.
Proven experience, typically 3+ years, working in financial crime compliance, with a significant focus on Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) or Know Your Customer (KYC) processes within a regulated financial institution or fintech environment.
Solid understanding of global AML/CFT regulations and best practices, particularly FATF recommendations and their application.
Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify risks, and make sound judgments.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring all reviews and documentation are of the highest quality.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex compliance issues clearly and concisely to various audiences.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Experience with compliance software and tools is a plus.
Fluency in English is essential.
