As a Community Manager, your primary goal is to activate and nurture vibrant French speaking subreddits, working closely with the volunteer moderators who give these spaces their distinct personality and warmth.

Key Responsibilities

Every week brings something new, but you can expect your core work to involve these key areas.

Partner directly with local volunteer moderators to help them grow, manage, and protect their communities effectively
Spot cultural trends and identify high opportunity subject areas where new French speaking communities can take root
Collect on the ground feedback from local users and translate those insights into operational improvements
Design proactive programs that welcome new members while keeping established contributors engaged
Collaborate with international growth, product, and safety teams to make sure Reddit tools meet local needs

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should bring the following background and skills.

Native level or fully bilingual fluency in both French and English, including superb written communication
Prior experience in online community management, digital audience development, or community operations
Deep cultural fluency in contemporary French internet culture, slang, and digital spaces
Proven ability to turn qualitative user feedback into structured initiatives and measurable results
A resourceful self starter mindset, fully comfortable working independently across flexible schedules
