Overview

As a pivotal part of the global Davies Group, Davies North America stands at the forefront of innovation, helping businesses navigate risk, optimize operations, and spearhead transformation in the insurance and regulated sectors. In this fully remote, worldwide role, you will be responsible for the expert handling and supervision of complex and litigated commercial general liability and property claims. Your day to day will involve thorough investigation of coverage, liability, and damages, along with adept negotiation with contractors, public adjusters, and attorneys throughout the life of each claim. You will maintain a pending and closing ratio of 100%, establish and maintain accurate reserves and payments, present detailed large loss reports, and ensure seamless communication with your manager, as well as both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

Skillfully negotiate and settle large exposure commercial general liability and property claims.
Prepare comprehensive written status updates and crucial large loss reports, ensuring all stakeholders are well informed.
Conduct in-depth investigations into coverage specifics, liability assessments, and the full extent of damages.
Engage in professional negotiations with various parties, including contractors, public adjusters, and legal counsel.
Actively manage your claims portfolio to achieve and maintain a 100% pending and closing ratio.
Take ownership of the accurate establishment and meticulous maintenance of claim reserves and payments.
Foster clear and consistent communication with your manager, internal teams, and external customers, providing timely updates and insights.

Requirements

Demonstrated substantial experience in handling complex and litigated commercial general liability and property claims.
Proven ability to investigate coverage, liability, and damages with a high degree of accuracy and insight.
Exceptional negotiation and settlement skills, particularly with large exposure claims and challenging parties like attorneys.
A strong track record of managing a caseload efficiently and meeting performance metrics such as pending and closing ratios.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, essential for stakeholder interactions and reporting.
Proficiency in establishing and maintaining claim reserves and processing payments.
