About the Role
We are searching for a Commercial Counsel to substantially increase our commercial contracting outcomes. You will join a lean legal team handling around 60 contracts a month, acting as the person sales pulls in to get deals done fast, collaboratively with customers, and always within Socket risk positions. Operating with high agency and minimal direction, you will use AI and automation to multiply your output while setting a new benchmark for what commercial counsel looks like here.
This is a fully remote, worldwide opportunity allowing you to work from anywhere on the planet.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with sales from early in the deal cycle to shape terms before redlines arrive and help the team win.
- Own the end-to-end contracting process for high-velocity enterprise deals.
- Scale our legal operations through innovative use of AI, templates, and automation tools.
- Balance legal risk with business acceleration to keep deal velocity high.
Requirements
- Significant legal experience handling high-volume commercial software licensing agreements.
- Deep familiarity with SaaS business models, data privacy, and intellectual property.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate directly with sales teams and enterprise customers.
- A high agency mindset with eagerness to leverage AI and modern automation tools in legal workflows.
