Overview

In this role through PharMerica, you will take ownership of researching, collecting, and resolving an assigned portfolio of accounts. Everything you do will align directly with our internal policies and the Consumer Credit Protection Act of 1977. You will work a reliable Monday through Friday schedule from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM Mountain Time, giving you a wonderful balance between your professional responsibilities and your personal life.

Key Responsibilities

Manage collection efforts focused primarily on private, patient level accounts.
Handle inbound and outbound phone calls with responsible parties while delivering top notch customer service.
Explain billing details clearly and follow up on past due accounts using approved collection techniques.
Collaborate with internal and external customers to resolve balances, process write offs, reroute billing sources, or handle escalations to attorneys and agencies when necessary.

Requirements

To thrive in this position, you should have solid experience in collections, customer service, or healthcare billing. Strong verbal communication skills are a must, as you will be speaking with patients daily who need patient, empathetic guidance. You also need to be comfortable navigating financial databases and working independently in a remote environment.
