Overview

The JerseySTEM Mentor Program offers a transformative experience for college students, equipping them with the vital skills, practical experience, and crucial networks needed to successfully launch their careers post-college. As a mentor, you will serve as a supportive and non-judgmental role model, helping students navigate challenging social dynamics and acquire the competencies essential for strong job attainment. Our sessions are carefully structured to assist mentees in setting achievable goals and provide them with the resources necessary to realize their aspirations.

Key Responsibilities

Act as a positive, non-judgmental role model, offering encouragement and guidance to college students.
Guide mentees through personal and professional challenges, fostering resilience and problem-solving skills.
Provide practical support in developing key career readiness skills.
Help students set attainable career goals and identify pathways to achieve them.
Share relevant resources and insights to aid mentees in their career exploration and development.
Engage in approximately ten structured mentoring sessions over the program's duration.
Participate in bi-weekly check-ins to ensure consistent support and progress tracking.
