Key Roles and Responsibilities
As a CNC Operator, you will be at the heart of our manufacturing process. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Establishing and maintaining the highest standards of safety and 5S protocols within the workshop.
- Interpreting complex manufacturing drawings and translating them into precise production outcomes.
- Programming CNC machines and producing G-code using Manual methods or MasterCAM/similar software.
- Setting and operating CNC machinery for drilling, grinding, milling, and turning tasks.
- Supervising machine execution and performing real-time adjustments to ensure optimal output.
- Conducting quality inspections to verify finished products against technical specifications.
- Leading cost-saving initiatives by reducing waste and extending the lifespan of precision tools.
- Collaborating on root cause analysis and design reviews to improve overall product quality.
- Performing daily maintenance and cleaning to ensure machine reliability.
Minimum Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:
- A minimum of an HND or B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering or a related equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience working in an engineering workshop with CNC machinery.
- At least 5 years of hands-on fabrication experience specifically using FANUC controls.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software; experience with Autodesk Inventor is considered a strong advantage.
