Overview

As a Cloud Security Engineer at Appspace, you will step into a pivotal, customer-facing role, becoming a key architect of secure cloud environments. You will dive deep into designing and implementing robust configurations, always championing a "security by design" approach. Your expertise will be instrumental in safeguarding complex multi-cloud infrastructures, with a particular focus on Google Cloud Platform, while also navigating Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services. You will bring your extensive knowledge of SaaS security, network security, and compliance to the forefront, offering strategic guidance and hands-on support to ensure our clients' cloud solutions are not just compliant, but also incredibly resilient and future-proof.

Key Responsibilities

Strategically design and implement secure cloud configurations across GCP, Azure, and AWS, with a strong emphasis on Google Cloud Platform.
Act as a proactive advocate for "security by design" standards, embedding security principles from the initial stages of development.
Secure complex cloud environments, ensuring their robustness, resilience, and adherence to the highest security benchmarks.
Provide expert strategic guidance and hands-on support to clients, addressing their unique cloud security challenges.
Leverage deep expertise in SaaS security, network security, and compliance frameworks to inform all security initiatives.
Continuously monitor, assess, and recommend enhancements to existing cloud security postures.
Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to integrate security seamlessly into the CI/CD pipeline.

Requirements

Proven, deep expertise in cloud security architecture and engineering across multiple platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Demonstrable experience with GCP is a critical requirement.
Strong background in SaaS security principles and best practices.
Comprehensive understanding of network security concepts and their application in cloud environments.
Solid grasp of compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements relevant to cloud data security.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for a customer-facing role.
