Key Responsibilities

As a Cloud Data Architect at Onix, your contributions will be central to our success. Here’s a glimpse into the key areas where you will make an impact:

Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive data architectures, including data pipelines, migration strategies, storage solutions, and data warehousing.
Collaborate extensively with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and various technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient cloud data solutions.
Ensure that all designed solutions are optimized for performance, security, cost-effectiveness, and maintainability, adhering to industry best practices.
Develop and maintain technical documentation for data architecture, design, and data flow.
Provide expert guidance and mentorship to development teams on data best practices, tools, and technologies.
Stay abreast of emerging cloud data technologies and trends, proposing innovative solutions to enhance client capabilities.
Drive the successful execution of data migration projects using advanced tools and methodologies, such as our Datametica Birds products.

Requirements

To thrive in this critical role, you will bring a strong foundation and proven expertise:

Significant experience as a Cloud Data Architect or in a similar leadership role, demonstrating a deep understanding of data architecture principles and practices.
Proven hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions on major cloud platforms, with a strong preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services like BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub.
Expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts.
Solid understanding of various data technologies, including relational databases, NoSQL databases, and big data technologies.
Ability to translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable, and secure data solutions.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality, impactful results.
