Overview

Hey Jane stands as the first and largest virtual medication abortion provider in the US. We have successfully cared for roughly 150,000 patients across more than 23 states. As we embark on a significant growth trajectory, scaling into Medicaid, expanding into new states, and exploring new care channels, we are establishing Clinical Operations as its own distinct function. This role is truly foundational; we are seeking an experienced leader to own and build this critical area from the ground up. You will play a pivotal part in ensuring our clinical services are delivered with the utmost efficiency, quality, and compliance, directly contributing to our mission of providing safe, discreet, judgment-free virtual healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Development: Define, implement, and continuously refine the clinical operations strategy to support Hey Jane's rapid growth and expansion into new markets and service offerings.
Process Optimization: Design and optimize clinical workflows, standard operating procedures, and patient pathways, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and an exceptional patient experience.
Quality and Compliance: Oversee and enhance quality assurance programs and ensure strict adherence to all relevant healthcare regulations, licensing requirements, and clinical guidelines.
Project Leadership: Lead complex operational projects, including the launch of services in new states, integration with Medicaid programs, and the introduction of new care channels.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, clinical leadership, and patient care teams to integrate operational needs with technological solutions and clinical best practices.
Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize operational data and metrics to identify areas for improvement, track performance, and inform strategic decisions.
Team Enablement: Support the clinical care team by providing the tools, processes, and support necessary for them to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.

Requirements

Proven Experience: Substantial professional experience in clinical operations, preferably within a fast-paced virtual care, digital health, or reproductive health setting.
Operational Acumen: Demonstrated ability to build, scale, and manage complex operational processes from the ground up.
Project Management Prowess: Strong track record of successfully leading and executing large-scale, cross-functional projects.
Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance frameworks, and quality standards pertinent to clinical service delivery.
Analytical Skills: Proficiency in using data to analyze performance, identify trends, and drive continuous operational improvements.
Leadership and Communication: Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization.
