Overview

Cash Construction Company Inc. is actively seeking an accomplished Chief Estimator to join our dedicated team. This pivotal leadership position will guide our estimation department through the intricate pre-construction phases of challenging mission-critical construction projects. We're talking about significant undertakings in industrial, aviation, power, and large commercial sectors. You will be instrumental in managing comprehensive cost estimates, ensuring our bids are both precise and highly competitive. This is a fully remote, worldwide opportunity, requiring a strong understanding of complex construction processes, exceptional communication skills, and proven leadership ability. Some travel will be required for site visits and collaborative meetings.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor the estimation team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Oversee the development of detailed, accurate, and competitive cost estimates for all project bids.
Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and proposals to understand full project scope and requirements.
Conduct thorough site visits to assess project conditions, identify potential risks, and inform accurate costing.
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project scope, schedule, and budget.
Develop and maintain robust cost databases and estimation tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs without compromising quality or performance.
Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best possible pricing for materials and services.
Prepare comprehensive bid packages and presentations for internal review and client submission.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience in a senior estimating role, ideally within mission-critical, industrial, aviation, power, or large commercial construction sectors.
Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop a team of estimators effectively.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, labor costs, and relevant regulations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly.
Proficiency with estimation software and relevant project management tools.
