Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the daily operations of our billing cycle, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all transactions.
Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and scale our billing capabilities as Instacart grows.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Support to resolve billing inquiries and implement solutions.
Develop and maintain comprehensive billing policies and procedures, ensuring clear documentation and consistent application.
Oversee the integration and optimization of billing systems and tools, driving projects that enhance our technological infrastructure.
Mentor, train, and support billing team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Perform detailed analysis of billing data, providing actionable insights to leadership and supporting strategic financial planning.

Requirements

Five or more years of progressive experience in billing, finance operations, or a closely related field.
At least two years of leadership or supervisory experience, demonstrating the ability to guide and develop a team.
Strong command of billing systems and financial workflows, with a proven track record of driving system enhancements and process improvements.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of dissecting complex issues and proposing effective solutions.
Demonstrated expertise in project management principles, particularly in areas related to financial systems or operational improvements.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders globally.
A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related quantitative field.
