Each month, we carefully select one exceptional Resident to guide the community's discourse, pinpoint the most pressing issues in the field, and make Ascend an even more invaluable resource for immigration leaders across various organizations. Our Residents are chosen based on their robust professional background, their established credibility within the immigration landscape, proven judgment, and a distinct capacity to offer original thought leadership to the collective. This is a working role for a seasoned immigration leader who possesses extensive operational experience, a keen perspective, and truly valuable contributions to offer their peers. This is a fully remote, worldwide opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

Community Engagement: You will design and host one engaging webinar on a timely topic the immigration community is actively exploring. Alma will manage all promotion and logistical details.
Event Leadership: You will design and host one sponsored in-person event, with Alma providing full funding and support.
Thought Leadership: You will publish three to four original posts or insights, delving into critical areas such as policy updates, compliance best practices, the application of AI tools, strategic vendor management, or innovative program design.
Resource Creation: You will develop one durable resource, which could be a practical framework, a useful template, a comprehensive playbook, or an informative briefing document.

Requirements

Significant and verifiable professional experience as an in-house immigration leader.
Demonstrated credibility and exceptional judgment within the immigration field.
A proven track record of contributing original thought leadership and innovative perspectives.
Extensive real-world operating experience in managing complex immigration programs.
