Key Responsibilities

You will dive deep into migrating databases and legacy stored procedures from SQL Server over to a modern AWS ecosystem. Expect to build robust data pipelines, orchestrate smooth workflows, and ensure our massive datasets remain pristine. Your daily work will directly empower our engineering teams and stakeholders with reliable insights.

Develop and optimize data pipelines using core AWS services.
Build efficient ETL and ELT routines leveraging Python, PySpark, and AWS Glue.
Query and manipulate large datasets utilizing Amazon Athena, Redshift, and advanced SQL.
Design, refine, and maintain stored procedures with a strong focus on high performance.
Orchestrate complex processing flows using AWS Step Functions and manage storage on Amazon S3.
Collaborate closely with data engineering teams to champion strong data governance and exceptional information quality.

Requirements

We want someone who brings deep technical expertise and a collaborative spirit to the table. You should feel completely at home working within cloud environments and handling heavy database workloads.

Solid professional background in data analysis or data engineering, specifically working with cloud migrations.
Deep hands-on experience with SQL Server, Amazon Redshift, Amazon Athena, and Amazon S3.
Strong mastery of Python, PySpark, and building scalable AWS Glue jobs.
Proven ability to write and optimize complex stored procedures and SQL queries.
Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools like AWS Step Functions.
Good understanding of code versioning and collaborative development using GitHub.
