Overview

As our new AML Compliance Officer, you will empower Western Union agents to implement robust anti money laundering, counter terrorist financing, and anti fraud policies. You will dive deep into how our partners incorporate these standards through activity analysis, comprehensive reviews, and targeted training sessions. When gaps appear, you will guide agents toward effective remediation so our entire network stays secure.

Key Responsibilities

Conducting thorough onsite and offsite compliance program reviews for both new and existing agents and affiliates.
Providing hands-on support and training to help partners build effective defense frameworks against fraud and financial crime.
Evaluating internal controls and agent procedures through detailed data analysis.
Escalating compliance risks diligently and communicating findings in a timely manner.
Collaborating with your team to shape the broader development of anti money laundering initiatives and end to end process tasks.

Requirements

Strong foundational knowledge of anti money laundering and counter terrorist financing regulations.
Proven experience in compliance reviews, risk assessment, or audit functions within the financial sector.
Exceptional analytical skills with a sharp eye for detail and internal control gaps.
Great communication abilities to train agents and escalate critical risk matters clearly.
Ability to work autonomously in a fully remote environment across different time zones.
