Overview of the Role
This part-time, fully remote adjunct faculty position offers the flexibility of working from your home while making a significant impact. You will be instrumental in delivering our eight-week online courses in Nonprofit Management. Your primary focus will be on fostering a dynamic learning environment for our students, who often dedicate their careers to serving at-risk populations. This role is open to candidates with valid work authorization for the United States, offering a truly flexible academic engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing comprehensive grading and constructive feedback on student assignments, ensuring timely and accurate assessments.
- Actively facilitating communication and engagement among students within online discussion boards, which includes posting prompts and evaluating student responses.
- Participating in a few focused Zoom meetings with students, typically two to three sessions across each eight-week course.
- Successfully completing City Vision University’s specialized Faculty 101 onboarding course for all new faculty members, ensuring a smooth transition into our academic community.
Requirements
- Educational Background: You must hold a Master’s degree in a field closely related to Nonprofit Management, such as Business, Organizational Management, or Leadership.
- Attention to Detail: Possessing strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills is crucial for accurate and on-time grading.
- Work Authorization: Candidates must be a US Citizen, a permanent resident, or possess a valid work visa authorizing employment in the United States.
Strongly Desired Qualifications:
- A Doctorate degree in a Nonprofit Management-related field (Business, Organizational Management, Leadership) is highly advantageous. Please note, this is a requirement for adjunct positions specifically teaching graduate-level courses.
- Prior professional experience in nonprofit management, particularly experience working with and supporting at-risk populations, will be greatly valued.
