Position Overview
As the Acquisition Team Lead, you will oversee the end-to-end acquisition, renovation, and installation process for new Jaza service locations. Leading a dedicated team of Expansion Construction personnel, you will ensure that approved sites are efficiently acquired, renovated, and prepared to meet the company's rigorous standards. Your leadership will play a vital role in transforming validated sites into fully operational Jaza hubs, driving our mission of clean energy access forward.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead and inspire a team of Expansion Construction personnel to achieve ambitious site acquisition targets.
- Maintain an exceptional First Pass Yield (FPY) of ≥95% for site acquisitions to minimize costly rework.
- Ensure optimal team staffing levels by recruiting and retaining top-tier talent.
- Uphold uncompromising quality standards across all site acquisition, renovation, and installation processes.
- Cultivate and manage strong relationships with regional vendors, contractors, and landlords.
Core Responsibilities
Team Management and Development: Recruit, train, and mentor your team, conducting regular performance reviews and identifying skill development opportunities to ensure adherence to company standards.
Site Acquisition Management: Develop winning acquisition strategies, review and approve lease agreements, oversee documentation, and ensure full compliance with local regulations in coordination with the legal team.
Renovation and Installation Oversight: Approve renovation plans and budgets, manage contractor relationships, establish strict quality control protocols, and conduct site visits to guarantee structural and safety compliance.
Quality Assurance & Reporting: Document best practices, audit acquisitions, and provide regular progress updates and metrics—such as sites acquired, lease status, and FPY—to the QA Expansion/Growth Lead.
