Overview

We are looking for an experienced Accountant with a comprehensive background in U.S. accounting operations. This pivotal role involves managing and executing our company's financial and accounting processes. You will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, upholding compliance with U.S. accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and delivering dependable financial information vital for strategic business planning. We particularly value candidates who have worked with U.S.-based or multinational companies, possess deep knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and have hands-on expertise across month-end close, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and various ERP accounting systems. Experience supporting operations in both the United States and Latin America (LATAM) is highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and meticulously oversee the recording, classification, and reconciliation of all financial transactions, strictly adhering to U.S. GAAP and company policies.
Execute and expertly coordinate both Month-End Close and Year-End Close activities, consistently ensuring timely and impeccably accurate financial reporting.
Proactively manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, including invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and expense management.
Prepare detailed financial statements, reports, and analyses for internal and external stakeholders, offering valuable insights into financial performance.
Ensure strict compliance with all relevant U.S. accounting standards, tax regulations, and other statutory requirements.
Collaborate closely with internal teams, including operations and management, to support business initiatives and provide financial guidance.
Participate in the continuous improvement of accounting systems, processes, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting activities, contributing to sound financial planning.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is essential.
Demonstrated experience as an Accountant, with a strong emphasis on U.S. accounting operations, typically requiring more than 4 years in a similar role.
Profound knowledge and practical application of U.S. GAAP are absolutely critical.
Proven hands-on experience with the complete month-end close cycle, comprehensive financial reporting, and the management of AP/AR functions.
Proficiency in using ERP accounting systems is a must; familiarity with various platforms is a plus.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all financial matters.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of dissecting complex financial data.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration and reporting.
Prior experience supporting operations across both the United States and Latin America (LATAM) is highly preferred.
